For a while, INDUSTRIAL DESIGN got safe.
We stopped inventing and started optimizing. Same curves. Same finishes. Same formula.
Design became a checkbox, not a differentiator.
But something’s shifting.
Framework is rethinking modularity. Teenage Engineering is making weird cool again. Nothing is building brand through transparency.
And OpenAI is pouring billions into physical design.
Is it just me, or is Industrial design getting interesting again?
