INDUSTRIAL DESIGN STUDENTS: Keep asking the hard questions.

On Monday, I joined 7 other design professionals at SCAD Atlanta (Savannah College of Art and Design) to give feedback on midterm projects.

We met one-on-one with each student, then circled up to share bigger-picture insights with the group.

It’s always a trip to step into a room full of young designers.​ They’re ambitious. Honest. Eager to learn.​ Their ideas are raw, sometimes messy, but full of potential.

What stood out this time?​ They weren't just showing what they made.​ They were asking why it worked.​ And how to make it better.

They’re right on the edge of stepping into the world of design.

I’m excited, hopeful, and if I’m honest, a little worried too.

But more than anything:

Keep building.

Grateful for the chance to mentor, share, and challenge.​ Big thanks to SCAD for making space for this kind of interaction, and to the students for letting us into their process.
