INDUSTRIAL DESIGN: your pitch may be clear before your product is

A founder or product leader can explain the product in a way that makes people nod along. A clean story can hide a weak idea for a surprisingly long time.

Then the real customer meets the actual product and the spell breaks. Maybe the idea was never strong enough, or maybe the object failed to make the value clear without help. Either way, the market does not care how well the pitch worked.

That gap is expensive. It shows up when the buyer hesitates, when the shelf goes quiet, when the demo needs too much narration, or when the customer just doesn’t understand the product. Good industrial design forces the object to prove itself to the world, not just in the deck.

If someone has to stand beside it and translate, the product is still borrowing confidence from the pitch.
