I don't have a favorite design book (B)

Someone asked me for design literature recommendations recently and I realized I couldn't give them one. I've read plenty of design books, but nothing that fundamentally changed how I work or think about problems.

That feels like a gap worth fixing. The best practitioners I know can point to specific books that reshaped their approach. Frameworks that stuck, principles that guide daily decisions, perspectives that made certain tradeoffs suddenly clear.

I'm looking for books that did that for you. Not the ones that inspired you or showcased great work, but the ones that changed your career, your mind, or your beliefs about design. The kind you reference years later when making tough calls.

What made you see problems differently? What gave you language for decisions you were making intuitively? What's actually worth reading?
