INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS: Saturday community check-in

Wednesday night reminded me why Atlanta's design scene keeps getting better.

IDSA Atlanta hosted a Concept Sprint during Atlanta Design Week. The sketch challenge was fun and got everyone competing for Wacom pads, but the real value was being in a room with other designers. Talking shop over pizza, catching up with old friends, meeting students figuring out their next move.

The space showcased work from local schools and agencies. Architecture models, fashion, product prototypes, graphic design. Seeing the range reminded me how much creative talent is here.

Spent most of the night talking to newer designers about transitioning from school to practice. Your technical skills matter, but learning how projects actually work and how to communicate your ideas is what makes you valuable.
