British company Fyous just built something wild, a reconfigurable mold made of thousands of precision pins that can reset to any shape in about 20 minutes. Each pin holds up to six tons of pressure. It’s not a gimmick, it’s real and ready to go.

Imagine feeding your 3D model into the system and watching it re-form itself into the perfect negative for your next prototype. No dedicated tooling. No wasted material. No storage wall of outdated molds.

For anyone who’s ever fought to prototype a vacuum-formed or blow-molded design, this feels like a game-changer. I recently struggled through a blow-molded prototype where wall thickness

and infill meant traditional 3D printing the parts altered the design. Something like this would’ve been awesome.
