Does anyone really want INDUSTRIAL DESIGN innovation?
Everyone says they want bold ideas. Disruption. Differentiation. The big swing.
But when the sketches get wild, or the concepts feel risky, or the solution doesn’t look like what the competition is already doing?
Suddenly it’s: “Can we see a safer version?” “Do you have a Plan B?” “Let’s circle back to what we know works.”
And I get it.
Innovation feels amazing in hindsight. But in real time? It’s uncomfortable, unproven, and full of questions no one can answer yet.
That’s why most companies don’t need more ideas. They need someone who can hold the room steady when things get uncomfortable.
Someone who can build belief, not just decks. Someone who can translate risk into opportunity. Someone who can help the team move forward even when the outcome isn’t obvious yet.
Design sees what’s next.
But only if the spreadsheets don't hold it back.
