INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS: You see what’s next

It’s easy to get discouraged. I get it.

The job market is rough. Recognition feels rare. And sometimes it really does seem like the world doesn’t value what we do.

But even with all of that, I still believe we’re winning.

More companies are waking up to the fact that design isn’t just decoration. It’s strategy. It’s systems thinking. It’s one of the last tools that can truly set a brand apart.

Startups, established companies, even investors are starting to see it.

That great design builds things that matter. Not because it looks good, but because it works.

And that shift is coming from us.

Designers who speak the language of business. Who push for better, not just prettier. Who know how to ship, not just show.

But we only keep this momentum if we show up, speak up, and advocate for the role design should play. If we keep helping others see what we see.

Because the next wave of products, the ones that solve real problems in new ways, will come from designers who aren’t afraid to lead.

So keep sketching. Keep building. Because business still needs design. And the world still needs what you see.
