INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS in the ATL
I wasn’t planning to talk to anyone.
Not really.
I figured I’d show up, sip something cold, stare at my phone between polite nods, and leave before anyone noticed I was gone.
But then someone pulled out a prototype. Another sketched something on a coaster. And before I knew it, I was in the middle of a circle, arguing about parting lines and CMF like it meant something. Because it does… to me.
We weren’t just making small talk.
We were sharing what works. And we were comparing scars.
The time a client ghosted. The sketch that got laughed out of the room. The dumb idea that turned out brilliant. The brilliant idea no one ever greenlit.
And it felt like, for the first time in a while, I didn’t have to explain what I do.
I could just be.
And that was enough.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS IN THE ATL This Thursday night at Formation Design.
Not networking. Not posturing. Just people like you. Talking shop. Sharing dreams. Trying to make things better.
Come feel it.
08.10.25. - INDUSTRIAL DESIGN is worth fighting for
This isn’t just about design. It’s about standing for something bigger than yourself.
Something you believe in enough to fight for— with your time, your talent, your whole damn life.
Because there’s a battle out there. One where what we make gets stripped of meaning. Where vision gets buried under metrics. Where design becomes decoration.
But not here. Not with us.
We’re the ones who still believe in building things that matter. We know it’s not easy. We know most won’t get it. And we know the odds aren’t in our favor.
But look around— you’re not alone.
We’re still here. Still showing up. Still pushing forward.
So pick up your pen, your mouse, your sketchpad— whatever your weapon is— and get back in the fight.
We’re not just designing products. We’re designing the future.
No retreat. No surrender. Only forward.
Because one day, when you put your tools down for the last time, someone else can be there to pick them up. And the world they inherit will be better because you fought.
For those about to build, we salute you.
