You open the same file for the tenth time and adjust that fillet radius again. Not because it's wrong. Because your brain is hunting for resolution.

Pattern-matching is the skill that makes you good at this job. But it can turn against you when something gets close to right, but not quite there. Your brain keeps searching for the final click when everything locks into place.

This isn't creative block. It's your decision-making system caught in a loop on a problem that might not have the solution you're looking for. Maybe the form is fighting the manufacturing method. Maybe the real issue is the brief, not the radius.

You break the loop by sketching something completely different, walking away for a while, or recognizing you're optimizing the wrong variable.

The dangerous part is always mistaking iteration for progress.
