INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS: Sunday Design Inspiration

You know that feeling when you pick something up and immediately understand someone obsessed over every detail? Having stuff like that in my life keeps me going when projects get messy.

One example is my Miyabi chef's knife. This thing is serious, and beautiful. SG2 steel that holds an edge like it's personally offended by dullness. Hand-hammered blade so food slides off instead of clinging like a desperate ex. Cocobolo wood handle with brass inlays that feels like it was carved specifically for my hand. It doesn’t just solve a problem, it makes me want to cook.

That's what good design does. It doesn't ask for credit. It just works so well you forget about everything else and focus on the task at hand.
