It isn’t perfectionism. It’s fear we’ve learned to rationalize

We say it’s about quality. But it’s usually fear, of being wrong, of showing work too early.

Real perfectionism means needing to make it work, and not just in your head. What most designers call perfectionism is polishing in isolation. We don’t show until it’s safe. We don’t test until we’re confident. Not chasing excellence, but avoiding vulnerability.

You’re not making it better. You’re making it safer to show.

This isn’t about shipping junk. It’s about testing rough ideas before the stakes are high. Good business fails early and adjusts. If we wait until it’s perfect, it’s already too late to learn.
