Here are 4 rules I’ve learned for making sure the work doesn’t vanish:

1. Sharpen it: If the story isn’t clear, the work won’t cut through.​

2. Differentiate it: Safe blends in. Distinct signals get remembered.​

3 Show it: Don’t hide behind decks. Put it in front of people early — clarity grows in the open.​

4 Defend it: The best work always feels fragile. Protect the details that make it yours.​

The truth? Designers rarely fear failure.​ What we fear is that the work won’t matter.

Because the hardest thing to accept is not rejection, it’s being overlooked.
