INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS: your presentation is killing your project

You spent weeks on research, sketches, iterations. The design is solid. Then you present it with three different fonts, colors that don't relate to anything, and slides so cramped nobody can focus on what matters.

The presentation isn't separate from the design. It's part of it. A bad layout makes people question if you actually care about details. Mismatched fonts make them wonder if you understand visual hierarchy. Sloppy color choices suggest you don't see what they see.

Devote the same attention to how you present the work as you did to the work itself. Pick one typeface and use it consistently. Give your images space to breathe. Use color intentionally, not randomly. Make the layout as considered as the product.

Your design might be brilliant. But if the presentation doesn't communicate that, nobody will ever know.
