Personal Video Script ​

Hey. I wasn’t planning to record anything today. But I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to keep showing up here, day after day... and how easy it is for people to forget there’s a person on the other side of these posts.”

​ So I just wanted to change things up and just show up as me for a minute. To tell everyone that I write because I really do care deeply about design. About what we’re building, how we’re working, and how it feels to try to do good work in this industry.

​ But I also know the tone isn’t always soft. And sometimes I get it wrong. Or hit a nerve I didn’t expect.​ That’s never my goal.

I’m not trying to be a voice of authority. I’m just a guy trying to figure this out like everyone else. I’m here to learn, build, share, and help try to build something better.

If you’ve ever felt like you had something to say but didn’t know how to say it — that’s why I’m here.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I know how important it is for us to speak up and share the amazing value that design brings to the world. But far too often there’s only silence.

That’s why I’m trying to build a community in the Industrial Designers International group here on LinkedIn. To create a space where designers can be loud, honest, and unfiltered.
